I know it’s a bit of a cliche to talk about the Western skies . . .  but there is something different about the air above once you cross the Mississippi: expansive, yet tangibly closer. Case in point, due to the early arrival of monsoon season, the skies above north NM where quite a sight to behold this weekend:
