We’ve seen this one before. It’s interesting to watch the neighborhood urban hawks swoop back and forth over the neighbors’ yards, trying to catch the small birds. You don’t normally think of predators lurking in urban trees and perched among the power lines. Fortunately there’s usually a fairly loud ruckus when one is on the prowl, so I usually have fair warning to make sure our special needs hen is locked up and safe. Every so often a predator will try to engage one of the chickens, just to see. . . PKS_2576
