Ok, finally a very quick recap of our final day along Comb Ridge:
For our last full day, we turned around and headed south on Butler Wash Road. There are so many cool canyons on the east side of Comb Ridge, it was hard to choose which ones to explore on this trip. We randomly decided to spend the morning exploring Big Cave Canyon, and then hiked to the Ridge Top Ruins in the afternoon. We weren’t sure what our camping prospects would be like for that final evening since it was a Saturday night. A good many of the pull offs along Butler Wash Road were already occupied by late afternoon, but fortunately we have the burly beast and were able to take advantage of a steep rough track to a hilltop spot with an awesome view of the entire valley. What a great finale for the trip!
